Fort Collins Utilities Offers Double Appliance Rebates through December

Fort Collins Utilities is offering double rebates on qualified appliances through December to help residential customers save money on their utility bills.

Residents looking to get rid of an older refrigerator or freezer can receive a bill credit of $70 (regularly $35) for recycling their appliance. Residents purchasing qualified ENERGY STAR ® dishwashers will receive a bill credit of $50 (regularly $25) and those purchasing clothes washers will receive a bill credit of $100 (regularly $50).

Utilities water customers also can receive double rebates on WaterSense and MaP Premium toilet purchases through December. Rebates of $100 or $150 (regularly $50 or $75) are available for replacing and recycling up to two toilets per qualifying account. Water customers also qualify for a $10 rebate on WaterSense labeled showerheads, which can save the average household more than 2,900 gallons of water per year. Check local retailers for a wide selection of models.

Purchases must be made from September 1-December 31, 2014, and applications must be submitted by January 14, 2015, to receive the double rebates. Applications and qualification details are available at participating retailers and online at fcgov.com/rebates-programs.
