Regional Conference Explores Economic, Social and Environmental Business Opportunities

Join the regional business community for a day of learning and networking. Explore how economic, social and environmental advancements are changing the way business is conducted in Northern Colorado at the second annual Northern Colorado Business Innovation Conference, 7 a.m.-5 p.m., Jan. 29, Fort Collins Senior Center.

Breakfast and lunch are included, highlighted by a keynote presentation featuring Dr. Richard Jackson, MD, MPH, FAAP, author of the book and host of the PBS series “Designing Healthy Communities.â€

Learn about the impact our built environment has on key public health indices – obesity, diabetes, heart disease, asthma, cancer and depression – and how citizens are looking upstream for innovative solutions.

Interactive workshops will motivate organizations to:
• lower environmental impacts
• operate more efficiently
• increase economic competitiveness

Participants also can explore service provider and technology booths.

Hosted by the cities of Fort Collins and Loveland in partnership with Platte River Power Authority, the event concludes with an after-hours social and exhibitor showcase at 4 p.m.
