Fort Collins Utilities' Water Reclamation Facilities Receive Top Honors

Posted on: Aug-13-2015

Fort Collins Utilities’ Water Reclamation and Biosolids Division has been selected to receive two Gold Peak Performance Awards for water treatment excellence. The awards program, presented by the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA), recognizes public wastewater treatment facilities for outstanding compliance records in 2014.

Both the Mulberry and Drake Water Reclamation Facilities received the award, which honors treatment works that have achieved 100 percent compliance with their National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit for an entire calendar year.

“Fort Collins Utilities’ water reclamation facilities are outstanding examples of environmental efforts. NACWA is honored to showcase the achievements of Fort Collins and our nation’s public wastewater utilities through the Peak Performance Awards Program,” said Ken Kirk, NACWA’s Chief Executive Officer.

NACWA recognized Utilities and a select group of winners from across the country during the Association’s 2015 Utility Leadership Conference and 45th Anniversary Annual Meeting in July.
