Payment Assistance Fund Helps Keep Utility Services On For Residents In Need

Posted on: Nov-19-2015

Having the electricity or water turned off for non-payment is a reality for many residents. To keep this from occurring, Fort Collins Utilities' Payment Assistance Fund is available to help families, senior citizens and others in need stay current with their utility bills and avoid having their services turned off.

The Payment Assistance Fund is supported entirely by donations, with 100 percent of the money being used to provide assistance to Utilities customers. Customers can make a one-time donation at any time or add a recurring amount to their utility bill.

Over the past several years, there has been a continual increase in those seeking assistance to pay their utility bills. One of the program goals is to never turn away Utilities customers who need help paying their bill, and to do this, the level of donations needs to be increased. Please consider donating to the Payment Assistance Fund and encourage others to donate, as well.

To apply for assistance, contact Catholic Charities Larimer County at 970-484-5010. To make a donation or learn more about the program, visit https://www.fcgov.com/paf and print and mail the contribution form, call 970-212-2900 or TDD 970-224-6003. Donations also can be made at 117 N. Mason St.
