VIN Verifications#
Fort Collins Police Services conducts VIN Verifications on the following days:
Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
VIN verifications are done by appointment only. Scheduling is available below.
Along with your vehicle and driver’s license, please bring one of the following documents with you to your appointment:
- Vehicle Registration
- Title
- Bill of Sale
Out of State VIN Verification Forms or Inoperable Vehicles
If you are needing an Out of State VIN Verification form filled out, or have a vehicle that cannot be transported to the Fort Collins Police Services building, please call (970) 416-2370 Monday-Friday, 8AM-3PM. As long as the calls for service volume permits, we will enter a request for a Community Service Officer and one will reply once one becomes available.
Please Note:
- Up to 4 vehicles can be processed in one appointment slot.
- Vehicles must be present at the time of the VIN verification.
- Cost is $10 per vehicle and can be paid by cash, credit card, or check. Must be paid at the time of your appointment.
